Remembering their Mother

St. Stanislaus Service

Gravesite Service

Mom passed away peacefully at 10:12am on March 12, 2009 in Portland, Oregon, surrounded by her loving family.  She would have been 94 years old on March 15th.  She had a wonderful life and we cherish her memory.  She will be missed.

Her children, Gale (Jake), Judy, Karen and Susan, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and members of our large extended family and friends gathered to celebrate Bea's life.

Mother Bea, peace be with you.  Love, your children.

Rosary was led by Susan Montgomery on Sunday, March 15th, 5pm at Judy Litchfield's home 1233 SE 44th, Portland, Oregon, followed by a celebration and dinner.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, March 16, 2009 at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church officiated by Father Tom Royce, SJ.  The family took an active role in the service and Gale, Judy, Karen and Susan delivered joyful eulogies.  Church Program

On July 10, 2009 Gale and Judy flew Bea's ashes to Lewiston, Idaho in Bob Vanderbilt's Cessna Hawk N77XP.

On July 11th we attended a major family reunion in Genesee, Idaho that had been previously planned at Bea's family White Spring Ranch, now a National Historic Site.

A memorial service was held at Saint Stanislaus Catholic church in Lewiston, Idaho July12, 2009, followed by final internment at Pioneer Cemetery next to her husband Dick and near her son Lanny and Dick's parents.

Bea and Judy loved to fly with Gale and this last flight was a fitting tribute to their mother.
